Why Monarch Butterflies Aren’t Getting Endangered Species Status

Monarch butterflies was not added to the federal endangered species list this year. The agency found that the butterfly qualifies for the status but for now, the species is peculated from protections and will be reconsidered annually until 2024.

The orange and black insects have faced decades of difficulties. Recently, I was reading a book of a Monarch and Milkweed, there are some points which is really beneficial for us to known about monarch butterflies. The monarch butterflies are handsome and heroic migrators. It is a flamboyant transformer egg: an egg hatches into white, yellow, and white strips caterpillar take place inside its green leafy chrysalis, which is endowed with gold spots the adult butterfly that merges. Milkweeds, in turn has evolved increasingly elaborate and diversified defenses in response to herbivory. The plants to produce toxic chemicals, bristly leaves, and gummy latex to defend themselves against being eaten.
